Yzerfontein is a quaint fishing village on the West Coast, approximately 80 km from Cape Town on the R27, a perfect holiday location and weekend getaway for rock and surf fishing as well as diving, surfing and boogie boarding or simply enjoying the seaside. Spectacular sea life can be seen at various times throughout the year – whales, seals, dolphins to name a few. The adjacent vlei’s add to the magnificent bird life in the area. The most fascinating being the endangered African Black Oyster Catcher. Flanked with beautiful, untouched, safe beaches stretching all the way along the adjacent West Coast National Park. Yzerfontein also has a picturesque harbour suitable for launching boats. Spear Chukka has three fully equipped cottages and the main house. The cottages accommodate four; two children and two adults, and the main house accommodates four adults. Located in a quiet corner on the north side of Yzerfontein where it borders the West Coast National Park. The adjacent Fynbos, pan and vlei area are home to a large variety of birds and the beach is a five minute walk away. All cottages are fully equipped, ready for a peaceful self-catering stay. All bedrooms have double rooms with double beds and all linen provided. Kitchens are also fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, stove, oven and microwave.
