Sleepers@8B

Sleepeers at 8B is a self catering home is situated 6 m from the water, in a quiet neighbourhood in Velddrif. The noisiest inhabitants are the Weavers that build their nests in the Palm tree.

There are 4 spacious bedrooms. The ground floor; one with a Queen size bed, and the second one, 2 three quarter size beds. They share a full bathroom that has a bath, shower, toilet and basin. Upstairs the bedrooms; one with a Queen size bed and a seating area, and the other 2 Single beds; also share a bathroom that has a bath, toilet and basin.

The kitchen forms part of the open plan dining and lounge area, and is separated with an island that has 3 bar chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped, and boasts a microwave and dishwasher too.

The lounge has comfortable seating, a fireplace for the winter month, and the flue goes up through to the roof, via the third bedroom. The dining table has seating for 6 people. There is full bouquet DSTV, but also 2 packs of cards, and some games if watching television is not essential. I do not supply Wi-Fi, as I want the emphasis to be on relaxing.

There is a braai area, and a table and chairs are supplied, in order to assist guests to relax while watching the water. Incidentally, the sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. Come, enjoy the West Coast, and just be.

Accommodation at Sleeps at 8B:
– Room One, looks out onto the water, and has a queen size bed.
– Room Two, has two three quarter size beds and is situated at the back of the house.
– Room Three, is upstairs, has its own seating area, and the bathroom can be made to be en-suite, or the door that gives access to the passage, can be opened and the bathroom can be shared.
– The final bedroom has two single beds.

Sleepers@8B Activities:
Velddrif is not far from places that offer game drives. Langebaan is only 40 kms away, Paternoster 30 kms, St. Helena Bay 20 kms, and Dwarskersbos 10 kms.

There are in total 7 golf clubs in the area. The beaches are very close, and for the birding enthusiast there are several bird hides available.

Fishing, is a favourite past-time, and fishermen can be seen under bridges, along the river, near the harbor mouth, on the beaches.

Boat trips are available up river too.

Lastly, swimming in the canal is allowed.
